WordPress. Why are GUIs on online CMS so annoying (minipost)

I'm annoyed. These web interfaces are meant to be better and easier to use. But they are an irritation to my nerdy soul.
WordPress: An operating system disguised as a content management system. What! Am I meant to load an entire office suite into my web-browser just so I can put some text on my website? Why must the CMS be so much more complicated and bloated than my website? What if I just write something on my computer? Do I now have to copy and paste it into the stupid web based word processor? Why can't I just upload a file that I made on my computer for a blog post? No. I have to spoon feed that stupid web based word processor.
After using wordpress for a while I finally know who it is for: It is for people who don't know what they are doing. And also don't know what they want.
Anyone who has any sense of direction ends up dragging around the bloat that was installed there for the ignorant.
Anyway I'm currently using the GRAv CMS and it is quite a bit better. For my tastes anyway.
And I wrote this post in the VIM text editor. And now I'm going to upload it using SCP. (secure copy paste). Nice and simple. GRAV does have an web admin panel to use. But I still find it confusing. Maybe I just have command line interface brain damage right now.
