You know how some people show you their 'sketchbooks' and it is really carefully planned out artworks which just happens to be drawn in a book?

Well my sketchbooks contain actual sketches.

Many unplanned drawings done with haste and sometimes a small amount of violence. I vigorously throw ink down onto the page with such impatience sometimes I wonder what the objective is. I probably just enjoy making marks on paper.

When I drew in my sketchbooks I never intended to show anybody. It was for myself only. But now I've scanned them so the whole world can see them. Silly me.

This is the sketchbook where I fell in love with a Daiso brush pen I bought for $2.80. I think I refilled it many times with sumi ink. About have of the ink sketches in this book are done with that pen.

Also used a 'pentel touch pen' quite a bit too.
